"There isn’t really a campus. The classes are in part of an office building and the “gym” is a warehouse with multiple courts and no dividers between them (which is kind of dangerous). You cannot play more than one sport here (for example - you can’t play indoor & beach volleyball - only one or the other). The coach is kind of cold. They do not have dorms and you have to rent from the AD’s brother or from the apartments next to the gym. You really need a car since the gym and classes are maybe 2 miles apart. The girls were nice enough but there was a weird vibe. The roster is kind of big and you can tell there’s a weird tension there. No on campus dining options or dining plans. You have to be able to fend for yourself."
"Alyssa cares but heavily favors her friends, family and sports she likes. She heavily favors basketball and women’s volleyball. This is her first real job and she has never coached (she played a sport in college). She will try to keep students from talking to administration above her and acts concerned but doesn’t actually care unless it’s something she’s interested in. Her brother works for athletics and he also rents rooms to the athletes and some feel pressure to rent from him. If you don’t, he can get annoyed and confront you about it. He’s supposed to be a life coach at the school but he isn’t there very often and doesn’t really like meeting with students. Her good friend is the women’s volleyball coach & they hang out all the time. They like to team up and manipulate players on the team. She doesn’t care about safety in the gym or how the athletes are treated. There have been several safety concerns in the “gym” (it’s a warehouse) and altercations and she has never tried to fix anything. She only cares about how many kids are on a team. She’s nice enough to your face but she’s young and immature and can be incredibly rude to people she doesn’t think are worth her time or can do anything for her. She burns a lot of bridges and comes off arrogant. There are a lot of people who can’t stand her because she’s been so rude to them. She has a lot of meetings and everybody in the building can hear her talk smack about staff and athletes. Her lack of work experience shows. She tried to tell a coach that their athlete had to quit their job at a local bar because she liked to hang out there and didn’t want to be seen. "
