"Everyone was so kind to us, from the moment we got there to the moment we left. This probably would've my daughter's first choice if it fit our price point better"
"If you are a swimmer, Yuri is a great coach. He will pay attention to you and because of his abundance of knowledge for the sport of swimming, you will succeed under him. However, if you are a diver get ready to be belittled, ignored, and treated as if you are not a member of the UW swim and dive team. It seems like Yuri forgets that there is an “and” between the words swimming AND diving in his job title. He will not care about how you are doing mentally, medically, and physically. The only time he cares is during competition but you still will not see him smiling or applauding on the side of the pool deck. But with the swimmers, he is incredibly supportive. "
"During my time with Coach Radman, he was dishonest, deceitful, and manipulative. He did not care for my mental health and well being at any point in time. He is vindictive and will not spend time with you if you are injured or are recovering from an injury but instead will jeopardize the possibility of you getting better. He believes that he knows everything about everything and will lie to you time and time again. He does know about the sport but his education level on the technicalities of diving are elementary for D1 expectations. He is intense to a toxic level and creates a negative team culture and will manipulate your own teammates against you. "
"Billy is an incredibly knowledgeable, gifted and kind hearted person who cares about all of his athletes. It was a privilege to work with him during my time at UW"
"I've swum for Yuri for 3 years and have loved it. He's upfront and honest while maintaining a strong awareness of how his swimmers are feeling. He is intense, no joke, but he knows what he's doing. "
"Amazing and knowledgeable coach! Old school and separates the coaching staff from the players. Good to a certain degree, but didn’t handle players major personal issues well. Hockey wise, Coach Johnson is a great coach. "
"Unbeliebavley knowledgeable. It's hard to find a female collegiate hockey coach with as much coaching and life experience as Mark Johnson. Truly a privilege to have been coached by him, and has opened up a world of hockey connections playing for the UW-Madison. "
"Paula is definitely knowledgeable about soccer. She motivates and disciplines, provides good feedback, and is most often direct with the players. A negative though, however, is that she definitely has favorites. I wouldn't go as far to say that she directly shows favoritism, but I definitely felt some players got more attention than others."
"I highly respect Kelly as a coach and he is very knowledgeable about the game. I just find it difficult to create a deeper relationship with him beyond volleyball. It's just sort of a disconnect and just strictly business like between us. "
"Whitney is one of the most passionate individuals I have had the pleasure of being around. He gives his athletes his best and in return sets high expectations for them to give him their best. He knows when to push his athletes and when to back off, thus giving them what they need. Any athlete that has the opportunity to train and compete under him should consider themselves lucky."
"Whitney Hite is a very passionate coach, and he demands excellence both in and out of the pool- he values hard work and doesn't tolerate excuses. Whitney's personality can be hard to read and his philosophy may not work for everyone, but he really does care deeply about his swimmers. He has done an amazing job rebuilding the team at the University of Wisconsin, and I believe that UW is on its way to the top under his leadership."
"Coach Clark is one of the most knowledgable coaches of the sport I have met and rowed under. He pushes his athletes through strenuous workouts frequently both on and off the water, which make them the sharpest and most mentally tough rowers in the league. Through hysterical and seemingly random stories that pertain to rowing, Coach Clark helps his rowers understand the need for mental toughness beyond what normal people and other teams are capable of. His rowers are ready for anything."
"Over the course at my time at Wisconsin, I have experienced three different Head Coaches, along with many changes in the staff. I have nothing but respect for all of my prior head coaches. Paul Chryst is a man I have had the opportunity to know since the recruiting and his time as an Offensive Coordinator at Wisconsin, and as a Head Coach at Pitt. He is one of the best men, both on and off the field, I've had the opportunity to play for. No other person in the country I would rather play for."
"Coach Clark is an excellent coach who can turn novices into Olympic caliber rowers. As a rower in his program, you can see why Wisconsin is able to keep up with the top crews despite having no international recruits, no scholarships, and a heavy walk-on presence. Clark focuses on developing racers, and mental toughness is a big part of his philosophy. His communication style is unique and oftentimes hilarious- you might not always get what he says, but you always know exactly what he means. He has developed an excellent culture at Wisconsin, and is a great coach to row for"
