"Artie came on as the assistant my first season, then took over as head coach. As an athlete, he focused on the details and was willing to do whatever it took to help you become successful. He cared about us as people and made sure we knew about our value and importance, both as it connected to the team and outside of running. As I battled injuries and finding a place on the team, Artie went above and beyond to include me both as a team member and showed me the behind-the-scenes of coaching. He taught me how to be a valuable asset to a team, whether I was a competitor or coach. He cared about me and my well-being for the future, and was never afraid to stand up for me. As a coach now, I treasure the experience I had running for him and working with him. He has a passion for the sport he loves, and wants his athletes to have the same passion as they participate in his team. He will never jeopardize your physical health for the sake of a race, which is a game changer as an athlete. "
"Manny comes off very friendly and genuine but, but he’s actually very manipulative and fake. He claims to be fair but isn’t. As a player I would go in and ask what I can do to play more. In the spring he would track every statistic possible during practices and rank us. He told me that if my stats were better then the player ahead of me I would play. Each week consistently I was in the top 3. And the player ahead of me wouldn’t even reach the top 10. I didn’t see a single extra minute. On senior night the last two nights he didn’t play any of the seniors to honor them, even when the team is up 3-0. He acts like he wants feedback from the team, but everytime someone gives suggestions he ignores it and doesn’t change anything. The team starts to learn buzz words that he wants to hear during team meetings. So he is looking for answers instead of wondering what we think about the game. You will watch more film than any other team ever and it won’t be very helpful and seems like a waist of time. If you have anxiety or a mental Ilness don’t tell him because he doesn’t help or react will or act in sympathy. He’s a nice guy. But claims to be more then he is. "
"Coach Rasmussen works with the jumpers (LJ, TJ, HJ, PV) at USU and is very knowledgeable. He seems to care for his athletes and is good at recruiting athletes who are diamonds in the rough (strong mentally and technically, where you help them become stronger and faster). He is especially knowledgeable in the pole vault and has helped many athletes go from average to good and a few from good to great. His coaching style is positive, patient, and supportive. His athletes are happy, hard-working, and support each other."
"I ran for Coach Gulden for four years. He is a great leader and believes in his athletes. The better I got to know him, the more I grew to respect his knowledge of the sport and the deep care he has for the success of his athletes in all domains of their lives. "
"She that coach who make u hate the game . She a horrible human. Major bully. Witnessed way to much. Her “buddy” John Hartwell knows all bout her & let her get away wit abuse & everything unethical. Those 2 losers made everyone feel uncomfortable to the point of puking from anxiety they caused "
"Abusing her power happened alot. That & married men ... allegedly (eye roll). No one likes her. Some pretend to cuz they seen what happened to best ones. She sucks & deserves ZERO stars frfr"
"Ditto bout everything other person said
Seen her run teammates out who did nothin wrong
Can’t go to AD bout her unless u wanna suffer
She the problem but blames everyone else
Only cares bout herself "
"Worst experience. She is a Bully. She is a players worst nightmare. She is the coach that makes you hate the sport & game you loved before being coached by her. She is also unethical (hello NCAA). Saw her mistreat teammates. Zero leadership qualities. Everyone knows how she got the job & how she keeps it. She’s earned her gross reputation. Everyone good leaves & AD doesn’t care (figure it out). Choose another program. "
"In all honesty, Amy is a coach who cares about the success of the team more than treating the athletes as people over anything else. She focuses more on making sure her athletes get her a high score, ranking, or GPA, than making sure they are cared for, loved, and doing well in life in general. She may be a successful coach, but it appears to be at the expense of the athletes sometimes. "
