"Ken is possibly the meanest coach I have ever had. I am fine with harsh coaching, but he does not connect with his players at all. He makes jokes that are meant to be funny, but are actually just insanely mean. He is irrational and emotional and takes way too much advantage of his power as a head coach. He will lie to you and over recruit and actually doesn’t care about who he has to hurt in the process. He is a huge fan of the transfer portal because he is too lazy to build the program from the bottom up. He does not invest his time in bettering the players as people and only cares about skill level. He actually one time said, “we need more b****es on this team”. He truly is awful and if you want to keep your love of soccer think it through. Miami is a beautiful place, but at what cost?"
"Ken was probably the most deceiving person I’ve ever spoken to. I decided to attend the University of Miami for my fifth year and couldn’t have had a worse coaching experience. He lied to peoples face about playing time, what they needed to improve, and why they were in the position that they were. He threatened to kick a girl off the team for making a TikTok, he suspended someone for going home after cutting them from the travel roster, and then someone tested positive on their drug test and there was zero repercussions. He is an awful person and is not willing to hear anyone out. The assistant coaches have no say in anything. When he comes to practice girls guess how it will go based on his mood. He punishes with pushups and running but will never explain what the team has done wrong. There are multiple counts of him making references to girls weight, strength, and ability. To anyone looking for advice DO NOT GO! He will lie to you about the program and it will be an unsustainable program in the future. "
"Does not develop players. Treats players like children. Pits players against each other. Does not foster team spirit. Very poor communication. Extremely defensive when feedback is shared. Lack of trust. Uses intimidation tactics to try and get players to quit so she can recruit new transfer students athletes. Manipulative, untrustworthy. Insular mindset. Ignores player feedback. Does not foster an environment of trust among players. Does not communicate with ancillary training staff. Uses retaliatory tactics and punishment when anonymous feedback mechanisms are utilized by players. Her recent track record of losses over the 2023 and 2024 season shows that she is a terrible coach that plays the exact same starters all game long, all season long, and does not know how to develop her players to create depth of talent. And finally, cares only about her job and not about the players. "
"Coach Allen is known by his players old and new for his favoritism, which has nothing to do with talent, hard work or golf. He doesn’t play golf and he dislikes it so much that he said in an interview he’d rather mow his lawn. His players are expected to not to question anything he says or have an opinion - he treats women as inferior, including his assistant coach who truly holds the team together. "
"One of the most prestigious coaches in the industry. Very well-liked by his players and staff. Is smart about the way he coaches and trains his players."
"very knowledgeable about the sport and kind, he knows how to bring a team together. one of the best recruiters i have ever seen in person and it has been a pleasure to work with him this past year"
"Jeremy is a good guy who cares about building a strong team culture and cares about his swimmers as individuals in and out of the pool. He's not always the most direct communicator, but it's something we all are working on improving as a team. "
"Great guy, cares a lot abt the team and it’s culture and knows a lot about building a strong swim program. Not always the clearest communicator, but has been working a lot on it. "
"Coach Garrick is a player's coach! He is cool and funny and knows how to relate to his players. He is a former NBA player who can get on the court and "show you how it's done" at any time. He is an intense competitor, and protects his players like they are his own children. "
"Looks good on paper and he's a great recruiter. He'll promise you the world and then you realize he told everyone the same thing. He borders on emotionally abusive. Selecting favorites to spy on players and report back to him. He is unethical and really negatively affected my college experience as well as many of my teammates. "
"Baseball consumes coach Corbin 24/7 and he expects the same amount of dedication from his players. Corbin is an extremely intense person who is self-centered, deceitful, untrustworthy. Potential future players should be aware that he will cut players in their junior and senior years, framing it as the players decision. "
"Biggest strength of this coach is his ability to recruit top talent. If he's in the public, he's recruiting. He creates a toxic and abusive culture, attempting to motivate through fear, manipulation, intimidation and mind control. Players should plan to spend up to 8 hours per day devoted to baseball with lectures, practice and conditioning."
"A coach that values skill and plays fast-paced. Has what it takes to be a winning coach but she needs to work on communication and player development. Knows what she wants and doesn't like to make adjustments to her game plan. What she says goes. Very intense but not a huge fan of yelling. Optimistic person and fun to play for. "
"Very intense and knows exactly what she wants and how she wants it done. Very good in-game coach (does not yell at players in heat of the moment, maybe during timeouts but not during play). Uses running as motivation to work hard and pay more attention to details. Very controlling in a lot of aspects of the player's lives. "
"Putting Golf aside, he's a great guy who will make you grow as a person and will go out of the way to build a relationship. Didn't play college Golf which is a bit refreshing. Makes you laugh, want to work hard, and builds a great team. Amazing coach! "
"Easily one of the best coaches I've played under. Although only playing under her for a short period of time, our relationship was, and still is, very strong. She is very personable and just straight up about the mission, on and off the court. Overall a great coach that will push you and grow your IQ!"
"Jermey is nice and understanding, but kind of a pushover. He lacks a lot of communication skills which cause frustration for him as a coach and the girls as his swimmers. There are often miscommunications and lack of communications of things he thought were obvious, but to us were not. "
"She's very knowledgeable and knows what she wants offensively. Needs to work on being more connected with her players. There is a big gap between her players and her staff. She pushes those who she thinks will succeed but does not work to develop or help those who are not as "valuable" "
"Coach White is a high instensity coach that will push you to reach your full potential. She is a very knowledgeable of the game and knows what she is talking about. You can learn a lot from being with her. Working hard is very important and she knows what it takes to win. "
"Coach White is a professional coach and knows what it takes to get to the next level. She knows the game well and has a professional approach to practices and gameplans. Sometimes it might not work as well because this is college and that needs to be understood, we make mistakes because we are trying to get to the pro levels. Overall a good coach"
"A great coach who cares about not only your success on the court but off the court as well. He is very passionate about fostering a good culture on the team and really cares about you as a person. "
