I’ve never seen a coach fat shame a player before like this one Coaches are supposed to raise young women up, not bring them down It’s no wonder in the last two years so many players have quit or transferred if you don’t want your daughter to suffer mental health issues, I suggest finding a different college Coach This coach will only make young women feel badly about themselves And if you don’t pay big bucks to play, you’ll stand on the sideline "

"This coach does not care about players mental health. Has no empathy for young females and isn't confident in players. Disrespectful, not positive, team culture is not positive, Communication needs work. She is not a players coach. "

She has clear favorites on the team, and it is clear there are a few people on the team that she couldn’t care less about. Her GA has done big things to make this program successful, she puts most of the work on him."

"Newsom has a lot of experience. Very motivational, loves winning and cares about success in academics and in the sport . Unfortunately he is blind to the team culture. it’s extremely clicky, worse than high school in my opinion and i went to a bigger school than the whole university. I went through a extremely rough time while i was there, my teammates never truly supported me, talked bad about me behind my back and spread rumors. Very childish behavior. I ended up dealing with injury and had to have a major surgery and basically had to re learn how to use the muscles and movements in my lower extremities. When I came back, no one on the team cared, supported or cheered me on during practice when i came back, but yet did it for the other teammates. Overall, I think newsom knew he couldn’t help me in the situation i was in. He didn’t know the full extent, but knew most. I remember when i went in his office to quit the team, he asked the last time i had been happy. I couldn’t answer his question. We both knew it was time. From what i’ve heard and keeping in touch with current track athletes, there has been a MAJOR breakthrough in communication on this team. My only hope and prayer is that is follows through. Because if it does get fixed, this could be a TRUE championship team."
