"He's his own biggest fan. He doesn't know how to adapt to college students. He builds no relationships with them. No mentoring. Also overrecruited like he is recruiting to a top caliber program which they are not. Ethically questionable. "
"Coach Oliver is manipulative and does not truly care about the players. She pushes injuries to the side and continuously shows favoritism towards specific players, including reducing punishments and altogether ignoring rule breaking. Not sure how she became a head coach with her little knowledge and cruel mindset. "
"As a former player of Courtney's that never got in any trouble, I agree that she is a coach that turns the girls against one another. She asks about players' business and will keep asking until she gets a player to snitch on them. She is more focused on being in control than winning. The program has gone downhill and will only get worse due to her."
"Courtney is more focused on drama and pushing the girls against each other than she is on winning. She would rather punish the girls and make them run then let them practice and get better.I understand punishment for something legit, but not eating McDonalds in the airport, with their own money and not alot of time. There are more important things"
"First off, she is very demeaning toward her players. She does not know how to communicate with players and tends to call them names and talk about them to other players. She has her favorites who could get away with murder. She looks to her assistant coaches for help and making all decisions. She doesn't see herself as the problem. "
"By the comments listed below, one should be able to tell what type of coach Courtney is. She turns her players against each other and feeds off of it. It's a toxic environment. It is bigger than writing negative reviews because of "getting in trouble." She is not a good head coach. These other comments are not "negative" they are true. "
"I am a former player weighing in on this because I can say my opinion unbiased since being out of the program. Courtney Oliver is an unprofessional coach and puts more effort into being negative and judgmental toward her athletes than she does into the well-being of the team. She cares too much about her image and her knowledge of the game is poor."
"All the bad comments are from the ladies on the team that need to grow up and get tougher skin. All the bad comments are from the ladies that probably break all the team rules so no wonder they don't like her, she doesn't like them."
"She is not a good head coach. She has had no success as one and is not a good leader. She picks favorites and treats players differently. She is always gossiping and talking trash about girls on the team and their business. She is very judgemental and judges everything her players say and do and makes fun of players behind their backs."
"I would say at times can be very childish and doesn't act like a head coach/adult. When confronted, she's never in the wrong. Not action-oriented. If something isn't working for a player or the team it's on us for not making it work her way, instead of trying to find a different to make it work for that player. Her way or the highway. "
