"Coach Williams is a cool guy, but cool guys don't make good coaches. He wants to be friends with the players and likes when they come to hang out in his office and get all chummy with him. Which is great, but it doesn't win games which is what he's paid to do. The guys he puts on the field are those who spend the most time giggling with him during his office hours while the losses pile up. As the last ten years have shown multiple winless seasons, and only one season where this team has manage to get to 5-5. He has favorites and those are they guys that see the field no matter their talent, if they've been in the program for multiple years and have established a relationship with him, they get in the game. I thought Flora's offensive football incompetence and pee-wee offensive play calling was they major hinderance to this program but it wasn't that alone. Not only could they not score but they can't stop teams for scoring, which falls on Williams willful decisions to play guys that should never have been on the field. I have never seen softer players get so much play time, guys that need to be wearing basketball jersey's become Williams go to guys. No matter how many times they watch runners blow by them from their backs or how many coverages they blow that result in touchdowns for their opponents, you can bet that Williams will keep them in the game! It's nothing short of a miracle this guy still has a job as not only a coach but a HEAD COACH?! I'm flabbergasted! His tenure says a lot about the school as a whole, any self respecting institution would have done away with the entire coaching staff years ago! Williams being the first to go, this idea that just because a guy was a decent player and manages to get drafted and play at the highest level for a few years doesn't make them good coach or even talent scouts is embodied in Shaun Williams. "
