I’ll start with the pros first. He cared about fitness and made sure it was a part of the program (at least for the men). For the cons: he consistently talked about players behind their backs to other players about sensitive matters, he scheduled the women for 5 tournaments vs the men for 8 (then proceeded to not take the women to the first tournament, and “forgot” to sign the women up for the last). He had an ongoing Title IX case due to discrimination before he left A&M-Victoria. He gave the women less gear to than the men. For a women’s tournament, he would take individual men and proceed to not visit the women at THEIR tournament… not even once. He honestly ruined my last collegiate year of golf and made me consider quitting a game that I had dedicated so much time, energy and heart to. I’m so glad he’s no longer at A&M Victoria, and I would recommend to steer clear of him as a coach.
