true Knows The Game
A coach who seems more focused on controlling the narrative surrounding her players than actually developing them. There is a pattern of questioning athletes’ character, creating unnecessary tension, and using fear and intimidation rather than communication and accountability. Players are expected to take responsibility for everything, while leadership rarely seems to hold itself to the same standard. Favoritism, inconsistent expectations, and emotional manipulation create an environment where athletes are more concerned about staying in a coach’s good graces than improving their performance. There is a difference between demanding excellence and creating a culture of fear. Unfortunately, this program seems to have confused the two.
