"I don't even know where to start. Worst coach I've ever had and all of my teammates at UA would say the same. Even the best players who had "good" careers here would still tell you Jeff and Mueller are horrible coaches. Outside of coaching, Kaier is genuinely just a bad person. he could NOT care less how you are mentally as he constantly puts you down and makes you feel lesser of a person. Kaier's coaching style is belittling you and making you feel like you've never seen a baseball in your life. Don't even think about pleading your case as you are "making excuses" as he'd say. I can confidently say Kaier is the least personable coach/person I have ever met in my career. You'd think as a division 1 baseball coach you'd want to form a relationship with your players to ultimately put confidence in your team and let them know you, as a coach, have their back. That could not be further from the truth when discussing Jeffrey Kaier. Don't even think about trying to be friendly with Jeff because that will be shot down right away. Kaier loves to take your confidence, snap it in half, and throw it into Varsity pond as you are no longer going to be the player you used to be, you are now Jeffs minion. The positive reviews/experiences for Jeff or Mueller are the very few out of hundreds if not thousands of players who had unfortunately had to go through the same distressing experience my teammates and I went through. Overall, If you are reading this while considering Albany as a potential place to play college baseball, PLEASE do not do it to yourself. "

Insists on running all practices and managing bullpen and won't allow batting or pitching coaches to make any decisions. Awful third base coach. There is literally nothing positive about this man. Makes poor decision after poor decision. No character development whatsoever, he should not be around college kids at all."

"With the AD in the stands you would have thought the outcome would be different. Game 7 on 5/24 depicts the tone of the season by just looking at 2 innings- the first and the 5th. Pitching decisions should be left to the pitching coach. The 5th inning speaks for itself- everyone knows Kaier ran those boys out of the inning, deflated their spirit and ended the season. Good luck- same mistakes over and over again- no lessons learned. "

"In order to write a review a star rating was needed. If negative stars was an option that would be accurate for this person - coach should not associated with his name. He is not knowledgeable or positive. what he is is overly intense and fosters a negative team culture. The blame lies above, because he is allowed to take on responsibilities beyond his scope which are not contributing to a winning season but instead are fostering a negative atmosphere. That being said the athletic director has had plenty of years to do his part and nothing has been done even though it has been brought to his attention. Maybe he should have every player and every parent that sit through these games and for the players practices and give you their insights, stories and negative conversations that are occurring. "
