"Coach honestly made my experience at QU unpleasant. She emotionally manipulated players and tears the team apart from the inside out. She controls EVERY aspect of players lives outside of rugby. She told players who had serious injuries/surgery that they were faking it and lazy. If you accept and offer to play here and aren’t her favorite, be ready for emotional warfare. "
"Coach Carlson is a champion for women in athletics and will stop at nothing to fight for her athletes on and off the field. She challenges players to grow athletically and personally during their four years as her athletes. I've seen many players, myself included, be positively impacted by her in their four years at QU. She is intense and demands a lot of her players but it is because she wants the best for them and sees the potential that they have."

"When you're Coach's favorite - it's easy to be on the team. If you're not her favorite - it's not the best time. I've heard her ask her players to value practice over academics. Injuries seem to be fictional in her eyes.
