"I personally have a good relationship with Coach Parker and regularly see the field. Outside of soccer he is a decent guy, he has his flaws, mainly around just how he treats others. He is a workaholic though, so that might explain why he is so careless about how he treats his players and staff. He has a very strong personality, and does a great job at recruiting, but once on team he has a little to no personal relationships with any of the players. Does not create a good culture, team is very divided and coach acknowledges this but doesn't do anything to change it. Majority of team is transferring this year because they were unhappy with coach Parker and treatment they received. Some very, very, VERY sketchy things going on with a outside Panamanian agency, where they are very big donators to the team, and help place players on the team (for which the agency pays for their entire tuition allowing the team to save some of it's scholarship budget) , but also influence coach regarding who plays, where they play, and just have a overall very strong pull on coach. They have attended multiple practices where they are on the sideline talking and yelling at players, sometimes even pulling players out of drills mid-practice to speak with them. Practices are very focused on the starting team and when in season there is almost no attention given to players who do not play. Very hard to develop as a player under this coach as he does not give many opportunities to players that don't already regularly play. Multiple cases throughout this past year where players have essentially been outcast from team trainings as he didn't think they were at the level to play there. Team culture is losing and being okay with it, a lot of blame is tossed around whether its from players to coach, coach to players, players to the agency, coaching staff to the agency... Coach also contradicts himself a lot and is constantly talking about the team not being bought in which is the reason why we lose games... but every game we continue to not put out our strongest eleven, and when confronted about this, Coach just says his "Hands are tied" (referring to the panama situation). I highly recommend reaching out to former players through instagram or any other way you possibly can as they can go into more depth about the entire situation at Saint Leo as well as their experience.
