"While I only played under Courtney for a brief stint, I got a good sense of her right from the beginning. She did pick favorites almost immediately and brushed off the rest as it the team only consisted of those people. She was VERY intense and demanded perfection almost all the time even when there were fitness tests that were built for us to fail. She dug a bit to deep into our personal lives and played the game of wanting to be one of the "girls" as in knowing who we hung out with on the weekends (even though what we were doing was all totally fine) and drama instead of focusing on what we were doing on the field to also determine who she liked. There was a snitching culture as well that she created within the team and caused friction between players. Overall, I think she wanted to be a good coach and gave good technical feedback but struggled to unite and lead a team to success. Also – I heard from teammates after I left that the academic office offered players to keep their scholarships without having to play because people talked about how negatively this coach and the culture was for their mental health and well being... yikes"
