"She begs for money from her alumni to help build a program but she treats her players and former players with disrespect. Many players witnessed alumni coming to games and her or her staff making 0 effort to make a connection with them or speak with them. She would promise pitchers time and lessons and then not follow thru with her promises. She is not building up young women and their mental health especially her assistant Burns. He is demeaning and makes you feel like you are small and not a good player or person. You are on constant edge with both of them. There was a game we won and was going to the championship yet still got yelled at by her right before about to play for championship. The past 3 years players former and current have gone to the AD and voiced their concern against her, her coaching, her mental abuse as well as Burns her assistant. Do not be fooled on your recruiting trip. She is not what she seems. "

"She was very disappointing. She was disorganized. She played favorites. She allowed one player to go 0-50 and told her she was playing one season and didn’t give her time to grieve her step father. Shen allowed another player to disrespect coaches and other players and still be allowed to play. She allowed her assistant Coach Burns to cut young women down, talk down to them and continually shake his head in disapproval of certain players making mistakes. She says a lot in posts on social media but clearly didn’t practice with her team. "
