"I’ve been around the BSU soccer program since its inception with Ron Rainey and have worked with nearly every coach that has been through the program. Coach Rife is a dedicated coach, passionate about the game and his players. Strives for excellence but not to a fault. His team culture is second to none and is a true player’s coach. He’ll help you be the best player and person you can be. "
"Coach Beem may not always win, but wears the blame when we didn’t, probably more than he should have. He had our backs and I always appreciated that."

"I would never recommend the town or the softball program in Muncie. Helen is new and tried to make an impact but did not do it the correct way. She acts like she cares but it is fake. Never trust a fake person. "
"J is amazing. He truly cares about you as a person and an athlete, and is willing to work with you to help you get better. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with him. "
"Disrespectful to athletes. She takes no responsibility for her mistakes. She only cares about winning, and not about the well-being of her team. Sets great team standards, but only requires a few of the athletes to follow them, meaning that her favorite athletes get away with anything they want. "
"Coach Fleck is a great teacher, cares about the total athlete, academically and as a player. Can’t have a better coach for your sons college golfing experience."
"From freshman year this coach belittled me, called me a liar, did not believe my mental health struggles, and would not allow me to put my academics first. I was told that I was “struggling” with my mental health just for attention. I was not allowed to miss practice for school, even when it was for an internship that I needed to graduate even though many other athletes were able to miss practice times due to school. I was told I was replaceable, a thundercloud, and that I was not the kid she recruited. This coach went behind my back to other teammates, coaches, and higher faculty to share false narratives. I have endless amounts of stories of how this coach treated me very poorly.
I will say that the team environment is incredible and I was lucky enough to have a close and amazing relationship with some other members of the coaching staff. If it was not for my teammates and the other members of the coaching staff I would have quit the sport (transferring was not an option because I was told nobody would want me)."
"Coach Bern is truly one of a kind. She is more than just another college coach. She genuinely cares about the team and each individual. Coach Bern has a counseling background which carries over with her strong belief in having good mental health. She picked me up in my collegiate athletic career when she became the coach after sophomore season."
"Joanna lies to her athletes and does not value their wellbeing. She was very unclear about expectations and my scholarship during the recruiting process. Several girls in the past four years have transferred out of ball state because of her. "
"He is nice when he's in a good mood. When he isn't in a good mood, he is mean and demeaning. He's very indirect but when he's really mad, there's no coming down from it until practice is over. Does not carry anger into next day though. "
"Being a part of a winning program wasn't important for me when going through the recruiting process, but coach has made it such an enjoyable experience. Espeically the winning part!"
"Coach Sapp is surely one of the best in college golf. He has a lot of experience and knowledge in coaching and uses both of those things to structure his program. He is fair and very competitive, but never gets overly angry when players don't perform because he knows that they are trying their best. As someone who played for him for four years, if I had the opportunity to play for him again I definitely would."
"Gary is a coach that definitely does not understand how to coach women. He is a very poor communicator and gives some of the worst feedback when you ask about things you could improve on. Very much favors speed/strength over technical ability, which is common in college athletics. Acts like he cares about team culture, but encourages players who have problematic views on the world. Doesn’t care about cliquey-ness. Overly positive sometimes, doesn’t like change (in lineup or system)"
