"coach who bullies his own players and never gives any deserving players a shot to get real reps. makes players hate the game they used to love. he was banned from having the team on the home sidelines because of his screaming and language towards his team. if that alone doesn’t show the type of coach and person he is than idk what will. he enjoys degrading and talking down to his players along with his offensive/quarterback coach. yes the team sucks but that is 100% on him and his coaching abilities. multiple transfers immediately transfer back out after seeing the toxic culture of the team. it’s a disgrace that benedictine lets jim be the face and leader of the football team. "Coach Schroeder is a good defensive minded Head Coach. He knows how to scheme well for each game and set his defense up to put his players in position to succeed. However, sometimes he can come off as blunt, rude, or unforgiving. It’s almost as though he categorizes you in his head early on, and if it’s not good then good luck you’re going to have a tough road ahead. On the other side, if you’re coachable and do what he says and are strong and tough, you will succeed very well and he will have your back. Kind of an old school mindset coach when it comes to relationships with players and things along that nature. But he won’t kill you with conditioning and stuff along those lines. "
