"Too old, needs to retire. Stuck on his 2001-2002 team that made it to NCAA's. Doesn't believe in positive re-enforcement, only negative--direct quote from him. Seriously injures his athletes and is going senile. Emotionally berates his athletes on a daily basis. 10/10 would not recommend. Also, doesn't take recruits so don't bother. "

"Doesn't coach well. He sits in a launch from far away from our boat and just watches with no comments. When he wants to tell us something he yells and claps and it is not enjoyable. He is not personable and he does not try to have a relationship with his rowers. He can be rude and puts people down. "

Takes away opportunities for growth on the team and has effectively hindered the team dynamic. Favors the men over the women. Also where's the new boathouse?"

"He is very sarcastic, this means he often comes across a bit harsh. He cares deeply about all the athletes however tends to show his frustrations about athletes with chronic injuries. He does tend to play favorites to those athletes that he feels are more into the sport, whether or not it is true. His practices can be incredibly frustrating, if you cannot handle being yelled at for 2 hours straight, then this is not the coach for you, but it will make you better."
