"Jon has a tremendous base of very high level players (MLS Next) thanks to the recent recruiting efforts of the assistant coach. However, he is not able to handle the quality of players he has on the roster. The recent influx of Grad transfers using their COVID year is also an issue with the recruited players. Just because a player transfers in from a D1 school, does not mean they are better and should play over anyone else. But he plays them much more with lack luster results.
Some very good players are not getting much play time and there are many "favorites". Needs to step aside and let someone 30 years younger take over. He is really good at giving players false hope, before and during the game...."
"Coach A is a really good guy, means very well. He is, however, a bit outdated in his coaching style. He also has certain perceptions of some players, both good and bad that cannot be changed."
"Sometimes hard to understand his decisions but at the end of the day, he's been doing this for a long time and knows how to run a winning program year after year."
"Coach Anderson has single handily been the reason why the top talent from the program has been cut/have quit. He is stuck in the past and only falls back on his 1970's morals which needs to catch up with the times. He plays favorites and does not care about his players outside the academic realm. Players are unable to have an "actual conversation" with him solely because he uses his authority to dominate the conversation and eliminate the players' feedback. Cut and dry - he should be fired as a head coach and stick to administrative duties only."
