"Probably one of the worst coaches I have ever had. I have so much trauma and anxiety from the one year I spent being coached by him. He says he cares about players, but as soon as you get injured or sick he will act like you did it on purpose and like you are the scum of the earth. Everyone who came in the year I got there, quit that same year because of how badly they were treated. He uses punishment as a way to teach you not to drop a ball, and if you do something he doesn't like in practice, he will make you pepper with the wall indefinitely. Also likes to use public embarrassment with his little whiteboard. You are supposed to honestly put how many hours you have slept and how your body feels on the whiteboard, but if it's anything less than 8 hours, and feeling great you will be asked in front of everyone why you didn't do better. While being coached by him I became severely underweight, and my mental health got so bad to the point where my counselor had to write a note that I was not okay to practice due to the amount of anxiety and stress just going to practice brought me. Half of the team was seeing counselors because of his effect on their mental health. Also, don't expect to have summer or winter break free from volleyball, because he will have you do something volleyball-related every day that you are on break (even though I'm not entirely sure that is allowed) and scold you if you skipped a day. If you want to keep your mental health, run from this coach."
