"I dropped out during my freshman year here at FIU on the women’s tennis team because of her. She created the environment so competitive and unwelcoming that it was hard not to feel depressed and anxious. I would try and complain to different departments but they would only cover her, leaving me feeling very unsupported and lonely. She does not treat people fair. Manipulates you into thinking she cares. Not a leader at all, and really I struggled with depression so much because of her and her players. She created the environment so toxic"

"She is actually pretty good at recruiting, but after that part of the job is done, every talented player starts playing worse after being on the team for a couple of years. She doesn’t know how to recognize the weapons of the players or how to develop their weaker sides. She has been caught lying to pit players against each other multiple times. Cannot stand any criticism of her coaching methods coming from the players. She picks favorites sometimes based on who the better players are, other times based on personal preferences or their nationality because she is racist. Players on the team are treated as if they are disposable goods, for example, by creating an environment where seniors who are about to graduate are isolated from the rest of the team for multiple years in a row. Many players also end up injured as a result of unnecessarily intense practices and a lack of care for their physical and mental health. FIU is an excellent school, and it makes me sad that people might not want to come here. But the reality is, something needs to change for the results and well-being of the players to be improved."

" My daughter had to overcome terrible treatment from this “coach”. The Athletics Department doesn’t really care, even after multiple complaints from players. It seemed and felt very corrupt. Katarina Petrovic is not a good coach—unskilled and often unsure of what to do. She was caught multiple times yelling at players after a loss,never taking accountability and always blame it on others. But what’s worse is how she is as a person: she treats people horribly, body-shames, manipulates, makes promises that aren’t in her control, and tries to turn teammates against each other. She truly doesn’t know & care about tennis, she only cares about keeping the job. We complained to the athletic director, administrators, and many others, but we were not heard. However,they will promote mental health and speaking up,but it is all fake and they will get rid of you if you cause problems.She left my daughter with trauma. Please make sure to do your research before committing to play for someone like her. "

"KEEP YOUR CHILD AWAY FROM COACH KATARINA PETROVIC. I saw and i heard so many stories about this coach, it was hard to believe it is true, but suddenly it is. She was saying so many hurtful stuff to girls about themselves and their parents. She was tolerating racism. She has power to abuse girls because when girls reporting her athletic department is not taking them seriously and covering coach. FIU school is great, but if you want your child play for FIU women's tennis team, than you will regret of doing it and you will destroy your child. "

"Players are not there to be tennis players, they might as well be training for freight work or the military, because the way they are treated is even worse. Her coaching crushes the spirit of every player who steps on their courts. She criticizes everyone loudly, leaving players embarrassed and anxious. It's not surprising that the roster changes every year... when athletes face constant negativity, humiliation. She lies on the recruiting process just to get you, and then immediately changes her approach. Coaching should be about helping athletes grow and building confidence and discipline, not tearing them down and turning them against each other. An environment filled with only pressure and negativity and as a professional coach, it's clear she is not in the right headspace to lead a team effectively. I've seen many players from both the men's and women's teams over the years face the exact same problem. The problem is her! Don’t get fooled , she is a nightmare."

"Most disrespectful coach ever, she admitted that she is bipolar and that she is on antidepressants, she is a liar and she would say anything to recruit you and once she recruits you she becomes another person, she is body shaming her players constantly and cursing and them, and making racist comments towards them. SHE IS ADDICTED TO SCREAMING AT HER PLAYERS."

"The most difficult and disrespectful coach I’ve ever met lied about her documents and claimed she was fully checked by the athletic department. Because of her, 20+ girls quit tennis, transferred, or developed mental issues after her coaching. She abused girls physically and mentally, and all the reports the girls submitted to the athletic department went nowhere because she is best friends with people in the department who cover up the abuse simply because she won the conference. She won conferences because the girls were good, not because she is a good coach—she knows nothing about tennis. If you want to save your child, do not send her to FIU if Katarina Petrovic is the coach. FIU as a school is really nice, but the team is not"

"Hello! We were students at FIU and we were coached by Katarina Petrovic. At first we did not believe that person could be that evil and non ethical towards players. But we faced with it. Examples: Racism towards international and American students, body shaming daily, cursing and if you want to speak your opinion she is making you run or do another punishment, such as not giving you food or not letting you play your match during a tournament. She has angry issues, that she is provoking you and makes you cry, even tho we saw how she hit our teammate by saying her opinion. We are not allowed to bring our phones because she doesn't want to have proofs, but we have. I hope next generation will fired this evil coach. "
