"Playing for Coach Meg was one of the most meaningful experiences of my college career. She was tough, demanding, and never afraid to push you—but only because she knew what you were capable of, often before you knew it yourself. She built and instilled a championship mindset in us, teaching us to hold ourselves to a higher standard and to keep working until we reached the potential she knew we had.
I earned my spot on her team, and I will always be grateful that she believed in me enough to challenge me and help mold me into the person I am today. I was fortunate enough to play for her for four years, plus a bonus fifth year because of an injury. If I could go back and do it all over again, I would play for her in a heartbeat.
What makes Coach Meg truly special is that her impact doesn't end when you graduate. She treats her players like her own kids, and that relationship continues long after you leave the program. Years later, she still stays involved in my life, sending birthday messages to me and even remembering my kids' birthdays. That kind of genuine care is incredibly rare.
She created a team culture built on hard work, accountability, trust, and believing in one another. She pushed us because she cared about us and because she knew we were capable of more.
I will be forever thankful that I got to play for Coach Meg. Some coaches teach you how to play a sport. The truly special ones build confidence, character, resilience, and a championship mindset that stays with you long after your playing days are over. Coach Meg was that coach for me.

"Coach Meg changed my life in ways that extend far beyond the four years I played under her. She didn’t just coach lacrosse—she shaped who I became as a person, a teammate, and a leader. During my college career, she taught me the value of hard work, accountability, resilience, and believing in myself even when things were difficult. She saw potential in me before I fully saw it in myself, and she pushed me to grow both on and off the field.
Because of Coach Meg, my teammates became more than teammates—they became sisters. The bonds we formed under her guidance have lasted long after our final game together. We have continued to celebrate each other’s milestones in life, and Coach Meg has been there for many of them, not just as a coach, but as a constant presence and supporter in our lives. That speaks volumes about the kind of impact she has on her players.
After my college career ended, her influence stayed with me. I continued my lacrosse journey by stepping into a coaching role, driven by the desire to instill the same love, passion, and respect for the game that she gave to me. More importantly, I strive to care for my players the way she cared for us—by building relationships, fostering confidence, and creating an environment where athletes feel valued as people first.
Coach Meg’s impact didn’t end at the final whistle of my college career. It lives on through the relationships she built, the lessons she taught, and the way her players continue to carry her values forward. I am who I am today because of her, and for that, I am forever grateful."
