"i played for coach frost for 1.5 years at uindy. those 1.5 years were the worst times of my life. before i get into why it was so miserable, i would be doing her a dishonor by not mentioning that she is extremely knowledgeable and knows the game of softball, clearly she has a winning team every year. however, if you are not one of her favorites or a starter, do not expect much at all. i worked my butt off day in and day out and i never received any validation or playing time even if i was just as good as the other girl. i witnessed other girls doing the same thing for 4 years and received little to no playing time. i understand this is college and not a situation where everyone is going to get a chance but it is discouraging and disheartening when you spend so much time and energy and not seeing it pay off. coach frost recruits players she does not want to play against and then uses them for her advantage. i vividly remember i got hurt my freshman year and she ridiculed me for it and did not seem to care at all. i told her my tendinitis was acting up in my arm and she did not let me rest or anything which has permanently affected my arm even to this day, 3 years after i quit. there is so much more i can say but it is hard to put it into text. there are girls on the team in their 4th year who have expressed to me that they are only still on the team because of the money and not at all because they like coach or the team. if you want to be part of a winning team than uindy is the place to be. but, if you want to be treated like a person and respected, avoid coach frost. i can say without a doubt that i am no much happier not being apart of her team anymore.
