"Dr. Paige Messersmith is the reason I am alive. She has helped me grow so much as a player and a person. When I was going through personal struggles she was one of my biggest supports. She encouraged me while I learned to take better care of myself physically, mentally, and otherwise. She has taken me to the hospital on more than one occasion. She has given me advice countless times. She is an overall immaculate human being. She is humble and smart and kind and caring and silly and honest and all the good things. Sometimes her husband will bring their dog to practice and it always brightens our day. She finds ways to make practice challenging but fun and gives us space to be goofy at times but also holds us accountable to being serious when necessary.
