"Shanna makes herself as accessible to the players as humanly possible. This coach has created a team culture where the players comes first. They are humans and then students and then athletes. The team prioritizes academics, community outreach, mental health, fitness, and being life long learners of the game. As an alumni I feel so connected to every team that has come after me because of the culture and long standing traditions of NPFH. Shanna works nonstop to provide athletes with everything they need to find success on and off the field. Shanna creates a competitive environment. She never stops working for you. "

"There's a difference between winning and being a winner, and Coach Shanna develops winners. From day 1 she sets the standards, expectations, and the goals for the upcoming season. The culture she's created for this team is strong on and off the field. If you're gritty, competitive, and willing to put the effort in, you will be successful here. If you don't hold yourself accountable, you will struggle, as you would trying to make it in any successful program. She's like a mom to many of us off the field and NPFH is a big family, we're very close alumni. She's brilliant with her hockey tactics, and is always showing us new techniques. She's won coach of the year multiple times, well deserved. Love her!!!"
