"Smoke in mirrors. Inaccessible. Athletes are afraid to speak to him and it is his way or the highway, without explanation for why that is the best plan. Athletes withhold information from him to avoid being benched. The team creates a culture of unity against him, not with him. Really difficult to watch and be a part of. If you are intending to go there - ASK athletes about their real experiences and if they can talk to the coach. They call him a Robot without feeling. "

He's a no BS type of coach that appreciates hard work and enthusiasm, that being said if you're used to being coddled I'd recommend running for a less intense program. Also, he is probably one of the most intelligent XC/TF coaches in the NCAA. "
