"Disrespectful and ignorant. One of the worst coaches in college and it’s crazy to think he’s been at Fordham for so long. No respect for anyone and his swimmers clearly don’t respect him. "

He does not keep his team accountable and the continuously poor results from the men's team proves this. He needs to change if things are to improve, but it's clear he won't do that"
"Steve is an outdated coach that refuses to change with the times. His methods are repetitive and relatively ineffective. If you are not on Steve's list of favorites, he hates you and will make it know he doesn't like you. "

"Coach Potsklan is a nice guy. However, his coaching abilities need dramatic improvement. His greatest coaching flaw is his inability to adapt to the ever-evolving sport. The improvement in the team this year is due to an attitude change from within the team, and had very little to do with Coach Potsklan. I do not recommend swimming his program."
"Steve is a nice guy, but not a good coach. Does not motivate the team and gives off the impression that he does not care about the team. It is very difficult to get a straight answer from him and at times it is hard to get along with him. Either he needs to make a U-turn in terms of his coaching or he needs to be fired."
"Nice guy, in some cases knows what he's talking about. Most times practice is frustratingly not directed toward ones specific stroke. You don't matter if you're not on scholarship. Uses practice material from 20 years ago. Not very motivational."
