"Coach Vicky might come across as intense at first and she definitely is when it comes to training standards. But once you get to know her, you will realize she is actually very approachable and communicative. sometimes you may feel a lot of pressure, but eventually you will understand that the pressure she put on you is because she truly believe in you and knows exactly what you are capable of. The journey with her is not always easy, but it is through that challenge that I was able to push past my limits and achieve things I didn't think I could. Coach Vicky didn't just help me grow in skills, she made me mentally stronger as well. "

"I really loved my time playing for her and feel like I improved so much because of her coaching. She's great at helping during matches and always knows exactly what to focus on in practice to make the biggest difference. Practices always included both singles and doubles, with specific drills that targeted whatever we were struggling with. She made time for every player on the team and was always open to extra hitting whenever someone needed it. She’s super motivational and supportive, and it always felt like she truly cared about helping each of us grow both on and off the court. I’ll always look back on my time with her as one of the best parts of my tennis journey!"

"Vicky is a very motivated and experienced coach who played for years herself at a very high level. She makes sure to pass on her experience and tips to make any committed player better. I had gotten an injury during my time with her. She was constantly supporting me to get through this hard time. She made sure I had all the things I needed, from doctor appointments to rehab exercises and even throwing balls when I was allowed to finally start hitting again. She made sure I was still involved with the team in any way possible and never made me feel alone. She has not only made me a better player but also a better person and I will be forever grateful to be able to attend UNM."

"Coach Vicky has been nothing short of incredible during my time with her. I transferred in and wasn’t sure what to expect, but she quickly became one of the most impactful coaches I’ve ever had. She’s disciplined, motivational, and genuinely committed to helping every player grow both on and off the court. From the beginning, she took time to understand my journey and was always open to working with me through any challenges while still pushing me to be my best. She’s a tough coach, but in the best way—because she truly believes in each player’s potential. She holds us to a high standard not to break us down, but because she knows exactly what we’re capable of. Every practice was built with purpose, every drill had intention and she worked closely with her coaching staff to have the best team culture. I’m proud to have been coached by someone who saw more in me than I saw in myself at times. Her leadership shaped me as both an athlete and a person."

"Not what expected. Disappointed. Team culture is poor. Lack of emotional intelligence. Expectations vs. reality are no where in the ball park of each other"
