"Steve has not only made me a better player, but a better person as well. His love for the game is obvious for how much time and effort he puts into coaching, and his passion for his players is evident for the amount of time he makes himself available to work and talk with them. Steve is not only an amazing mentor but a master strategist. His knowledge of the game and experience as both a coach and player make him crafty, creative, and effective in setting his team up for the best chance of success. If you give Steve the time to know you, he will change you for the better. He remembers every name and face, and he makes everyone he interacts with feel special and important. Any one of his alumni will tell you how influential and meaninglful he was to them throughout their college career."
"My daughter has had a great experience at American under Coach Harper. She is creative, positive and highly motivating to the players. We have so enjoyed being around the team, staff, and program. Looking forward to next season already!"
"I had a horrible experience with this woman. I thought I signed up for D-1 swimming but instead signed up to swim for an unqualified D-1 Coach who dosent know anything about swim. 11 people quit or transferred because of her. "
"I agree with the the previous comment regarding the energy and excitement Marsha brings to the AU Soccer program! She frequently goes above and beyond to motivate the team and provide opportunities for student-athletes to grow as confident young women both on and off the field. The team is playing better soccer and bringing in talent that matches the enthusiasm and work rate that Marsha exemplifies. Can’t wait to see what this program can do! "
"Marsha is one of the most passionate coaches I’ve ever experienced. She is highly motivated to be successful and works tirelessly to provide the best experience for her student-athletes, both on and off the field. From the moment she stepped on campus she increased the energy and standards for the program all while boosting off-the-field experiences like team bonding, new equipment/updated locker room, team meals, fundraising for team travel, etc. The most successful players in her program are the ones who match her energy, work rate, and have a team-first mentality. Future is bright for AU! "
"I started out with an excitement and eagerness to work hard on and off the field at this great academic school in a great location. The soccer program fell short immediately. Coach Marsha and her assistant coaches are inexperienced but push hard to the point of injuries without actual improvement in performance. They are not approachable, not honest, and frankly act like teenagers who were given a job well beyond their capacity. Money rules at this school, so unless your parents are willing to dole out thousands of dollars to the soccer program, you will be persona non grata on the team."
"Steve goes above and beyond to develop women of character on and off the field. He would do anything for any of his players, and he’s created a lifelong family of AUFH players and alumni."
"She is absolutely horrible as both a coach and as a person. She is manipulative and dishonest. There was a reason AU fired her after 1 season. She should never coach again at any level of lacrosse IMO, "
"Coach Davin is a jerk. He was not very welcoming to me when I join the team, he pushed me away when I asked for help countless times, and when I decided to leave the school he was so excited I could see the smile on his face in the meeting. It was very hurtful to commit to a school and see him not want to see an athlete to get better."

"Genuine man who lives, eats and breaths soccer. Gives excellent motivational speeches and has a strong idea of what he wants to do, and how he wants to do it. There is a disconnect between the coaching staff that is glaringly obvious and can be frustrating at times. He is intense, and always brutally honest. "
"A really good guy and cares about his players, helps them out where he can financially and with school work. Always does what is best for the team and the University. Practices were challenging, but could also be light/fun when they needed to be. Had a hard time building relationships with players, he never sat down with me to see how I was doing or tell me what I needed to work on to get more playing time, which is what I would have hoped for out of my coach."
"Although Emma Wallace has played and coached lacrosse, she lacks many qualities that a division I coach should have. First, she does not push us girls, discipline us, or inspire us to work harder for AU Lax and herself. She is often on her phone during lift/conditioning which is very discouraging to us players who are trying to prove ourselves to her. During games, she is not able to adjust the game plan in order to win. She also is not willing to stay after with us or schedule individuals."
"Having an institution be based in the heart of Washington D.C. There are a plethora of things to do there. For me attending American University was great. Not only was there an inclusive campus atmosphere, enriching academics, and a community where individuality is welcomed. During my visit, I was there for track and field, being able to speak with the coaching staff, and tour the facilities helped me decide as too if American would be a good fit to further my academic, and athletic career. "
"Coach Graham has an wide array about the sport of Track and Field. Be able to understand, and utilize the resources around you, and there will be sucess displayed. "
