"Coach Masimore was very honest and direct through my career. I feel she lacked any knowledge or change in her game plan through my time there. I appreciated her want to get the team engaged in activities through campus and do all of these other things but it became too much. She would expect us to be at events right after practice, or before. It was exhausting. I completely get her wanting us to engage but our schedules are already packed yet we are suppose to go from class to film to lift to supporting a team to doing homework and turn around and have a campus event the next day that we have to attend and so on. It was so so tiring. I do not think she understands how to run an attack, she thinks it’s a motion but it’s really plays that she makes that are easily picked up on by opponents. She isn’t hard enough on players and is too much of a “figure it out on your own” coach. "
"Coach Hanson is not a good talent developer or game day coach by any stretch of the imagination. Every team has deficiencies, but some deficiencies are the direct result of bad coaching:
Poor base running ✔️
Poor defensive execution once the ball is fielded (throwing to the correct place, executing rundowns, etc.) ✔️
Poor use of bullpen ✔️
Frequency of negative big innings ✔️
Not putting over-matched teams away ✔️
Poor scouting of opponents ✔️
Regression by players who showed promise as first years ✔️
Absence of plays where one thinks to self "good call, Coach" ✔️"
"This coach is manipulative and passive aggressive preaching team chemistry but team culture is horrible. Lack of understanding of lacrosse shows in the offense and massive amount of unforced turnovers. She refuses to change her force to goal -lack of movement offense. She will meet with you and tell you that she only predicts a minimal role on the team with no chance to play yourself onto the field. Team culture is drinking and fake kindness-don't be fooled. This team will never win with this coach and she should take mental health awareness training."
"She has always promoted and inclusive environment but plays to win. She wants to better the team as players and as people. She is understanding but also direct and pushes you to be the best version of yourself. "
"I have watched hundreds of games season after season and this guy is either truly a good coach, or he has shielded himself with a community of yes-men. Personally I can’t tell. I’ve watched some great players end their careers under him over preventable injuries and poor management. How many career ending ACL injuries before people start asking questions? "
