"I feel bad putting this out on the internet, but Coach Henchen is not the nicest of people. His recruiting spiel is a facade. He acts so kind, and then once you are on the team, he is somewhat disrespectful. He is not the kind of guy you want to talk to when you have an issue to discuss, when you have an injury, or when you can't make a practice. He cares more about winning by lightyears than he cares about the athletes. "
"All we do is win. I loved Fisher. Baseball was the highlight. We are treated like D1 kids. I have friends on other division 1 teams and we get treated like that level. Great field, always challenged us with scheduling. I wouldn't have treated my experience for any other school."
"Enforces high standards and values that would not be a problem if he lived up to them himself. Expects you to drop your responsibilities on a dime to do whatever he asks. If you ever make an honest mistake you are expected to stand up and take full accountability. His response to a mistake is to either "take accountability" followed by an elaborate excuse or completely ignore it. Doesn't care about his players off the field but tries to act like he does. Doesn't have the personality to be a receptionist let alone a Head Coach. Out of touch with reality. Thinks he is beloved but has no respect from others due to the way he conducts himself. If you were to ask him he would be able to talk for hours about how great he is. Stay away from this guy for as long as he is in this position (which hopefully won't be much longer)."
"Very “what have you done for me lately” type of coach. Treated me like a number. Doesn’t care about players’ lives beyond the field. Personality of a rock. Favors playing the local Rochester guys over others. Made fun of players who did not always do well and joked about it with other coaches. Made playing baseball feel like a job and truly tarnished my view of the sport I loved during a precarious time in my life. "
"GREAT kid! We had hoped he would be elevated from interim head coach to permanent, but understood that he needed more experience. Keep an eye on this one!"
"Great coach, is going to turn around a program that wasn't reaching its full potential, great story, very motivational, knows what players want, easy to talk to and befriend and look up too"
