"This coach uses fear tactics in practice, yelling, and rude comments causing players to have panic attacks frequently. Players play under extreme stress and mental breakdowns. He never shows it on game days but behind the scenes. I was recruited and left after his constant put-downs of players. Players feared retribution of playtime, so they remained quiet. The assistant coaches are great but leave frequently due to his practices. His season records are minimal because players do not play well under the intense stress and lack of team bonding. By the time the season ended, many players had begun to leave or left mid-season. Many players had injuries, as we would have weight training and then immediately have an intense practice not giving our muscles time to recover. Players were encouraged not to complain and continue playing against the trainer's recommendations, leaving some in tears of pain while trying to continue. The teammates were great and tried to support each other, but at times it was unbearable. Recruits do your homework!"
"Builds ultimate relationships with his team. And creates a competitive environment to bring the best out of everyone and motivates players to win with their hearts. As a coach, he will have your back at the end of the day and he always has his office open to hearing your opinions, worries, and ideas. He is not the perfect coach but the effort and care are there and that matters the most overall. His coaching style is to motivate you to play your game to the best of your abilities and will only try to change your game if YOU want to. He likes varieties of styles as long as you never give up. The team culture here is to build friendships and makes it feel like a home away from home. My best memory here was winning the conference championship and seeing our team's hard work come to fruition. Southwestern will push you past the old version of yourself and will transform you into someone that can accomplish anything, with a good work ethic."
"Future recruits do your homework on head coach and retention in the program. There has been over 7 girls in the last year that have left the program not including his seniors. Of his last year 2023/2024 recruiting class only 3 of 7 are still there.
