"I am on the womens cross country & track team and a huge part of the reason why I chose Dickinson was because of Coach Nichter. My experience so far has been good, however I will note that Coach is pretty old school. He expects you to constantly be at your best, no BS. I have had issues with him understanding/respecting mental health, burn out, etc...but as we've had a few incidents on our team already, I think he's starting to come to terms, and it's a work in progress for sure. He's incredibly knowledgeable, and if you are an easily "coachable" athlete, you will see exceptional results. I have never ran as fast as I have with Coach Nichter! He is so knowledgeable and passionate about what hes doing. If you are equally passionate about xc and/or track, you will love being on the team."

"Coach Nichter is extremely disconnected from the sprint program. The success of the sprint crew is secondary to that of the distance team. Coming from a cohesive and competitive D1 team in high school, I was let down by the lack of unison of the team and the underwhelming standards."
