"Horrible the only reason he isn’t the worst coach I’ve ever had is because he is not abusive. Of course to be abusive would require some kind of effort and interest in coaching, which he is not capable of."
"Doug’s a nice guy, just doesn’t care. He got lucky with recruiting the past couple of years, however, the team will not continue to progress with him. He creates a very toxic team environment when it comes to roster selections and expects his captions or single, inexperienced assistant coach to do everything. He plays obvious favorites, lets his personal life get in the way, and bullies his assistant coach. This team has an extreme amount of potential, however, is greatly limited due to Doug’s incompetent coaching and leadership. We desperately need a new coach."
"Good person. Terrible Coach. Will not take suggestions unless it makes his job easier. If it requires any effort, Doug will not do it. He will not motivate you, or critique your technique. Doug’s coaching job is passive income"
"Doug appears to be a nice guy, but unfortunately doesn’t know very much about swimming. He is unorganized and wants his assistants to do all of his work and creates a bad team moral."
