"Coach Hoover always kept it honest with me. She pushed me hard, but I never questioned whether she cared about me. She celebrated my successes, held me accountable when I needed it, and constantly reminded me that I was capable of more than I thought. What I appreciated most was that she cared about who I was becoming off the field just as much as what I did on it. Having a coach who believes in you like that makes all the difference."

"Disorganized coaching, serious issue of having favorites along with not keeping a professional relationship with players, why does a current player know who he’s cutting based on conversations they are having? We would not hear anything about practice when there was a weather concern until 2 hours beforehand. Refused to get an assistant coach and let his girlfriend coach from the sidelines. Would let players treat each other however in front of his face without any repercussions. If you want your program to receive a severe downfall, or plan to get rid of your program and need an excuse as to why, let him coach! Over half the team was debating quitting mid-season from how much he did not care about our development (except his favorites). Worst experience I’ve ever had coaching in my entire career. Would put 0 stars if I could"

"Immature , paranoid, innapropriate behavior lacks lnowledge to be a head coach plays favorites and has racist tendencies…poor judgement "

"Consistent bullying, humiliation, and harassment. Witnessed several jovial and fun-loving teammates be torn apart on a daily basis shattering the self esteem, confidence, and mental health of so many young women. Repeated team discussions about weight and constant racist remarks. A blatant disregard for the safety of black women, we often were put in situations that were not safe and were chastised for speaking up. I’m sure myself and several other young women are still healing from the effects of such harmful treatment. "
